Mexican Chocolate Snickerdoodles

IMG_0435Today I made Mexican Chocolate Snickerdoodles.  The recipe makes about 5 dozen small cookies.  I had planned on posting a short how to video however due to some technical difficulties I was not able to.  The video is fully edited.  So in the meantime I will share the recipe.

The dough:

1/2 cup butter softened

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon cream of tartar

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 1/4 cups flour


Roll the dough into balls with a one inch diameter

Next roll the balls into a mixture of 1/4 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Place in the oven for 10 minutes at 350 degrees

Let cool and enjoy
